Powertec CM10w Weather Station LoRa
We have customised this weather station to form part of the myinsight.io ecosystem and as such, it is not a standalone device.
In standalone mode, you have a couple of choices to read the data.
Choices:
- An LCD screen on the weather station that you can go up and read
- A USB port that you can take a laptop up to the weather station and download the data
- A wireless module that can transmit the weather station data up to 300m to an LCD screen
- The myinsight.io Weather Station kit has been developed to provide Australian farmers with real-time weather monitoring data. This wireless sensor suite is a comprehensive weather station designed for agricultural environments

Wind speed and direction measurements are essential for effective crop spraying and alerting to potential storm events. Combined with Machine Control Kits, weather data may be used to trigger automatic actions such as retracting communications masts, closing windows, and shutting off electrical hardware.

The Powertec Local Weather Data kit takes the weather station data and transmits it over WiFi, LoRa, NB-IoT (specific 4G) or we can connect a cellular router and present it on a dashboard. We have the ability to replicate this as many times as required on the same dashboard.

Aggregating potentially hundreds of weather stations together on the myinsight.io dashboard can provide unparalleled insight into weather and solar conditions. This allows you to not only make proactive decisions but also graph and store historical measurements to reveal seasonal patterns.
This kit is powered using the included 2 Volt 3 Watt solar power kit. The system includes a 3.7v LiPo battery and a compatible solar charger/ controller. The entire system is enclosed in an IP66-rated Fibreglass box, with a pole mounting bracket.

All this information is displayed on an interactive and easy-to-use online dashboard, allowing you to operate your farm or factory over the internet from anywhere in the world.
To make sure your project stays within budget, three wireless connectivity options are available, allowing you to option-in extra connectivity when needed.

The Powertec rainfall monitoring kit is a micro weather station developed to provide Australian farmers real-time rainfall monitoring data. Designed to meet the guidelines of the World Meteorological Organization, the self-emptying tipping-bucket design is exceptionally accurate. Used to display daily and accumulated rainfall, as well as the rate of rainfall.
Larger farming properties often experience differing rainfall across their large geographical area. Combined with one or two major weather stations, these compact and economic units can be deployed in numbers to provide a clear and concise picture of weather conditions.
